Service Information: Get ready for Maeven Chef
Prepping your kitchen for service:
Before your chef arrives, please:
Empty dishwasher and sink
Clear at least one shelf in the fridge
Keep cleaning supplies on hand (dish soap, sponges, clean dish rags, paper towels), as well as parchment paper & aluminum foil
Have salt & pepper and at least one litre of olive oil on hand at all times
For weekly service, purchase/leave out containers for your chef to package your food in. If you don’t have any, please let us know and we can purchase for you.
Our recipes are designed to use everyday kitchen equipment. Your chef will bring their own knives and special tools. Please make sure you have:
2 cutting boards, tongs, 2 spatulas, wooden spoon, whisk
Several mixing bowls, a medium and a large pot, a non-stick pan and heavy weight large frying pan, blender, 2 baking sheets
Connect with your chef:
While there are often times your chef will be cooking while you not at your house, we recommended greeting your chef for their first visit and introducing him/her to your home and kitchen. If that's not possible, detailed instructions via text & email work just as well.
Please share entry/exit instructions via text/email
Familiarize your chef with the home (smoke alarms, pets, trash, recycling, wash rooms, etc.)
How do I know serving instructions for meal prep dishes?
Your chef will leave detailed heating and serving instructions for the dishes they have cooked for you. The dishes will be labelled and dated so you will know what everything is.
